Welcome / Wanjoo to
Room 9

Year 5/6

Kaya! Halo! Hello! Salamat! Kia Ora! Kamusta! Goeie Dag!

My name is Ms Jamy Stallman

I am so excited to be the classroom teacher in Room 9 this year. We currently have an even mix of both Year 5 and Year 6 students in our class.

On a Friday, another teacher (to be advised soon) will be teaching the students Physical Education, Science, Health and Protective Behaviours. On a Thursday, Ms Slater will be teaching the students Noongar language as part of our Languages program.

I am a graduate from Curtin University and have been teaching for the last two years at Wundowie Primary School and working with students with special needs at another school in Northam.

I grew up with my three brothers on a farm in Queensland and my family moved to the Perth Hills as a teenager. I have been extremely lucky to have travelled around Australia and different parts of the world, but have now settled back in the Perth Hills with my partner and three boys.

Room 9 Assembly

We Are Respectful.jpeg
We are Responsible.jpeg
We Strive to Be our Best.jpeg

Students in Room 9 learned about the word courage and what that looked like. They tried out for different parts in a play and then set about practising very hard to learn their lines and a dance routine. Their courage grew and grew and in Week 4, they finally went on stage and did an amazing job teaching the rest of the school about courage. Well done Room 9!

A big congratulations to the students in Room 9 who received their Values Certificates.

Check out our assembly item on courage below....

Reconciliation Week 2022

As part of Reconciliation Week, Room 9 created a school banner where the whole school had the opportunity to paint their handprint, showing that we can 'Be Brave and Make Change'. The Year 6 Leaders led the school and community with the banner and chant on our Walk for Reconciliation from Wundowie Primary School and through Noongar Boodja. Students took part in our Multicultural Day activities where they learned and participated in traditional sports from Australia, Japan, Scotland, Italy and the Philippines.
